A Booqable alternative: KitSlate or Booqable?

Booqable is rental software for businesses that rent out gear, covering online bookings, inventory, quotes, contracts, invoices and payments, sold on Start, Grow and Scale plans plus a Custom plan, with paid add-ons.

KitSlate keeps one record per job that the gear list, the call sheet, the quote, the invoice and the releases all read from, from $19 a month. Booqable’s side of the table is from its own pages, read on 3 November 2026. “Not stated” means their pages did not say, not that they lack it.

KitSlate and Booqable

Where Booqable leadsBooqable leads where a business rents gear to the public. It has a ready-made booking page, an embeddable booking flow for WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace and other sites, and a website builder add-on with 80+ templates, all showing live availability. Customers can request quotes, sign quotes and contracts by e-signature (Grow and up) and pay online through Stripe, PayPal and other providers, with payment links, deposits, card holds and Tap to Pay. An invoice is created for every order and stays in sync as the order changes. It offers barcode and QR scanning, iOS and Android apps, revenue and ROI reports, an AI assistant called Bo, and integrations including Zapier, Xero and Mailchimp. Inventory and orders are unlimited on every plan and it takes no commission on bookings.

Where KitSlate leadsKitSlate is built for a production company that crews and shoots the job as well as owning the gear. Call sheets go to each person with their own confirmation, the crew book keeps roles, rates and dietary needs, receipts are read and billed with the receipts attached, releases are signed on a phone, and the Media Center sends rushes that play in the browser. There is a free plan, and the paid plans include seats for your team.

Who has confirmedEach email carries its own Confirm link. Sent, Opened and Confirmed come back per person, with times; Resend asks someone to confirm again. They confirm and read the sheet on a phone with nothing to install and no account. Not stated

The day's schedule is built on the call sheet. Google Calendar connects per company, and a feed sends bookings to your phone's calendar. Not stated

An availability calendar syncs with Google or Apple Calendar. QuotesThe quote pulls its equipment from the gear list and its crew from the call sheet, so it is priced from the job. Edit either side and the two are shown out of step, with the choice to keep them different.Customers can request a quote online with products, quantities and dates, and Booqable prices it automatically. Send quotes from the order with email templates and request an e-signature (e-signatures are on Grow and up).Customers can submit a quote request onlineQuestions about quotes and invoices

Wire, Zelle and Venmo are listed with what each costs you.Every order gets an invoice that stays in sync as the order changes, with due dates and revisions. Customers pay at online checkout, by payment link (email or SMS) or by Tap to Pay, through Stripe, PayPal, Square, Adyen, Mercado Pago, Mollie or Teya (several in beta). Deposits, partial payments and card holds are supported, and Booqable takes no commission on bookings.Every order gets an invoice automatically.Accurate invoices, even when rentals change
Expenses and receiptsDrop PDFs and photos, or send crew a link to photograph theirs on the day. Each receipt is read, kept and checked by you before it goes on the job; the ones you bill become their own section of the invoice, with the receipts attached. Crew send their final invoice through the same link. Not stated
BudgetsNo separate budgeting sheet. The quote prices the job and what you expect the expenses to come to, the Expenses tab records what they actually came to, and the reports show the figures. Not stated

Releases and contractsTalent releases, location releases, NDAs and your own agreements, with signers pulled from the call sheet and deal terms filled from the job.
