What you’re actually buying.

KitSlate isn’t a set of tools you wire together. These six systems share the same job, the same crew and the same numbers. The plan beside each line is the one it starts on.

Marketplace & profile

A public page and the used-gear market — the part of KitSlate that is free.

  • List your gear for sale — free to listProfile

What each line means
Your own personal profile page — freeYou have a profile now — kitslate.app/profile/you. Your name, roles, bio, showreel and what you have for sale, so a buyer can see who they’re dealing with before they hand over money. A page led by a company — your studio with its own headline and address — is part of Studio.
Buy & sell used production equipmentEvery listing, searchable by name and category. Anyone can look — this plan lets you take part.
List your gear for sale — free to listFree listings with photos, condition and city. KitSlate never touches the money.
Message sellers & deal directContact any seller through KitSlate Messages. The deal — and every dollar — stays between you.
AI-assisted receipt verification on your listingsUpload the purchase receipt and AI checks the product and the owner name against it to earn the verified tag. Buyers see the tag, never the receipt.

Production workflow

One job from the enquiry to the money — booked, packed, paid, on one thread.

  • Agreements — sent for signature, signed copy backSolo
  • Clients & crew databasesSolo

What each line means
Unlimited jobs & documentsEvery booking, gear list, call sheet, quote, invoice and agreement — no caps, full history.
Quote → invoice, payments & feesTurn an approved quote into its invoice in one click. ACH, Zelle, Venmo and card lines print properly, processing fees calculated for you.
Call sheets — sent, PDF attached, confirms trackedEmail the real call sheet with a PDF attached, and watch each person’s confirmation tick in. Replies route straight back into the job.
Agreements — sent for signature, signed copy backBuild the agreement from a template, the deal terms fill from the production, and send it for signature on its own or bundled with the quote and call sheet. The signer gets a receipt copy; the countersigned agreement lands in the job.
Clients & crew databasesEvery client and every crew member kept once — rates, contacts, W-9s, dietaries — and reused on every job.
Calendar feeds & double-booking warningsSubscribe your phone’s calendar to every booking; conflicts fire before you commit gear or a room.
Crew you invite don’t need a seatCrew and clients you send call sheets, quotes or handoff forms to don’t need an account — only you pay.

Inventory

Every item, case and kit — what it is, what it cost, and where it is right now.

Studio operations

The building itself: rooms, packages, locations and the company that fronts them.

What each line means
Public company profilePut the company first instead of yourself: your studio takes the headline, the main picture, its own web address at kitslate.app/company/you, and you appear underneath as who runs it. It is also described to search engines as a local business rather than as a person, which is what a search for a studio nearby matches on. Your personal page stays free either way.
The studio itself — rooms & bundlesRooms with day rates, who’s in which space today, and all-in packages clients book as one line.
Handoff forms — send a guest a scoped formEmail someone a single-purpose form — gear, quote, invoice or call sheet — and what they fill in returns straight into the project. No account, no seat.
Multiple studios & locationsRun several stages and warehouses side by side — who’s where, what’s out, what’s double-booked, across all of it.

What each line means
Rate Guide on give-to-getShare one real rate anonymously and see the community’s benchmarks for that role in return.
Full Rate Guide benchmarks & reportsEvery community rate unlocked without sharing, plus income split by role — gear vs studio vs your own day rate.
Rentals log & income by roleTrack what you sub-rent out and what it earned, alongside the rest of your books.
Income & expense CSV exportExport invoices and expenses as clean CSV with income split by account, ready to hand to your accountant or load into your bookkeeping. Export only on Studio.
Bulk CSV export — inventory, clients, crewGet your data out as clean CSV: inventory, clients, crew, rentals and presets. Export only — bulk import in is a Production House feature. Your full backup and B&H receipt import stay on every plan.
Bulk data import & exportStudio exports your data out; Production House also brings it back in — inventory, clients, crew and invoices, from CSV or PDF. These are files you upload, not a live connection. Inventory-list CSV import is open from Studio up.
Cloud sync & encrypted backupYour workspace follows you to any device over encrypted connections, and is encrypted at rest. Its separate cloud backup is encrypted in your browser before it is stored, and you can download the whole workspace as one file whenever you like. Your data is always yours, on every plan.

What each line means
3 team seats includedReal logins for the people who run the business — a producer, a studio manager, a bookkeeper — each with their own role. Crew and clients never need one. Solo is one seat: you.
8 team seats includedRoom for the whole office — producers, coordinators, bookkeeping — each with their own login and role.
Custom seat arrangementThe whole office in one workspace. Your seat allowance is part of the Enterprise conversation — the plan itself carries no seat cap.
Up to 2 company profilesRun two companies side by side: separate letterheads, bank details, colours and calendars, switched from one sidebar. Need more than two? That’s Production House.
Unlimited company profilesPast Studio’s two — run as many companies as you like, each with its own letterhead, bank details, colours and calendar.
Custom commercial termsEnterprise isn’t a checkout button — tell us how your operation runs and we’ll price and paper it against what you actually need.

Questions, answered.

Which plan should I start on?

Count two things: how many companies you invoice under, and how many people need their own login. One company and only you is Solo. A studio, a second letterhead, or a producer and a bookkeeper who each need access is Studio. Past two companies, or an office of eight, is Production House. Nothing else moves the price — not the size of the shoot, not how many documents you send. If you’re between two, start lower: moving up takes one click in Settings and nothing has to be rebuilt.

What counts as a seat — and who never needs one?

A seat is a real login for someone who runs the business with you — a producer, a studio manager, a bookkeeper, an administrator. The owner is one of the included seats. Everyone else is free: crew, freelancers, clients, talent and anyone you send a call sheet, quote, invoice, agreement or handoff form. They confirm, sign and fill things in through private links, hold their own details, and never need an account. There is no cap on how many, and no charge, on any plan.

Is anything metered? Will a busy month cost more?

No. KitSlate does not limit productions, jobs, documents, invoices, quotes, agreements, call sheets, equipment, inventory, crew, freelancers or clients. Plans are separated by the size of your business: how many companies you run and how many people run the workspace with you. A busy month costs exactly what a quiet one does.

What happens if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted. Every company keeps printing its documents and every team member keeps working. If you’re over the smaller plan’s allowance, KitSlate simply blocks adding more — another company, another seat — until something frees up or the plan grows again. Your work is never hostage to a billing change.

Can I buy extra seats beyond my plan’s allowance?

No. Seats are sold only as part of a plan today. A workspace at its allowance keeps every member working and simply can’t add another; if you need more seats, the next plan up includes them — Studio is three, Production House is eight, and Enterprise is whatever you agree with us.

Can I switch plans or cancel?

Any time, from Manage billing in Settings — secure checkout and self-serve billing by Stripe. And whatever plan you’re on, your full encrypted backup downloads as one file, so your data is never the reason you stay.

How does Enterprise pricing work?

Enterprise isn’t a checkout button. Tell us how your operation runs — fleet size, locations, team — and we scope and quote it against what you actually need.

How do I get an account?

The sandbox is open to everyone today, no account needed. Accounts are invite-led while we grow — leave your email at the bottom of this page and we’ll email your invite.
