Your roles, your showreel, the kit you hire out, what you have for sale, and a form people can reach you on — at kitslate.app/profile/<your handle>. Publish it and it is in Find crew the same minute. Lead with your studio instead and the page becomes a local business to Google.

Hero and portrait, name and pronouns, location and member-since, your links and bio, a WHAT I DO strip built from your roles and services, a contact card with a map, the showreel grid, what is for sale, kit for hire, the companies you work through, and a GET IN TOUCH form.
Your handle is your own page at /profile/<handle>. A company handle is the studio's at /company/<handle>. Lead with yourself and Google is told about a person with job titles; lead with the studio and it is told about a local business with an address and services — the description that can win a map result.

A message from your page arrives on Activity as an ENQUIRY card with the sender's name, email and message. Reply from there and it goes out through KitSlate with your company footer; raise the job from it with Create Production.

Nothing. A personal page is free on every plan, including the free Profile plan. Leading with a company — your studio taking the headline at its own /company address — is on Studio and up. See pricing.
No. Plenty of people run it purely as internal software and never publish a thing. The switch is off until you turn it on, and nothing else in the app depends on it.
The page carries a button to whatever booking site you configure, and an enquiry form. You reply, then raise the job yourself. There is no self-booking calendar on the page.
Once published it is locked, because links exist. Ask to change it from the locked field and the old handle is retired rather than deleted, so anything already shared still arrives.
Sign up for the free Profile plan, fill in the tab, press Publish page. It is in Find crew the same minute.
